Awards & Honors

The Foothill High School Band program has built an extensive history since the opening of the school in 1999.  Currently, the FHS Band program is recognized as one of the most reputable in all of the Southwest.

Acronyms:

BOA = Bands of America (National Marching Band Competition Circuit)

WGI = Winter Guard International (International Color Guard and Percussion Circuit)

CCSD = Clark County School District (5th Largest School District in the Nation – Nevada)

SNIPGA = Southern Nevada Indoor Percussion and Guard Association (Local Competitive Circuit)

WGASC = Winter Guard Association of Southern California (California Competitive Circuit)

Performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Marching Band – 1st Place Sapphire Class and Overall – Henderson Band Fest Henderson, NV

Marching Band – 1st Place Sapphire Class and Overall – Showdown at Silverado in Las Vegas, NV

Marching Band – 2nd Place Sapphire Class and Overall – MBOS Regional Championships, Las Vegas, NV

Marching Band – Finalist – Bands of America Regional Championship in ST. George, UT

Marching Band – Finalist – BOA Regional Championship in Long Beach, CA

Solo and Ensemble Festival – Foothill earned over 100 individual “Superior” Ratings

Varsity Winter Guard – Silver Medalists in Scholastic A at SNIPGA Championships
